Terrorism has once and again brought our country in tears because we have lost our own people to this heinous act. It boils my blood, to see how these cowards hiding behind the mask of terrorism take the lives of our brave warriors.
One such loss to our country is was the loss of one of the most prominent prime ministers of our country, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi. He was killed in Tamil Nadu in a campaign by the terrorist. Then, under V.P. Singh government the centre has decided to observe 21st May as Anti Terrorism Day.
Yet every now and then we hear of acts of terrorism but the question is how will we end terrorism. One thing we should remember is that “Terrorism has no religion and no religion promotes terrorism” so that fight against terrorism is not a fight against a particular religion rather it is fight the whole world is fighting. Waging war against terrorism is itself terrorism and so guns are not the way forward we need a unique weapon to end terrorism.
HOW CAN WE END TERRORISM ?
Terrorism has existed with the human society for more than 150 years and yet we have no clear way to defeat these heinous crimes. Our country has once and again suffered because of these. Be it Parliament Attack 2001, 26/11 or Uri Attack 2019, we lost our own children, women and warriors to these awful cowards with no conscience.
“Everyone’s worried about stopping terrorism. Well, there’s really an easy way: Stop participating in it.”
“WITH GUNS YOU CAN KILL TERRORISTS, WITH EDUCATION YOU CAN KILL TERRORISM.”
By giving our children the right education and moral values, we can eliminate terrorism from its routes. I agree that this is a slow process but it is the only legitimate choice we have for creating a world with no terrorism.
That’s why we are observing the Anti-terrorism day, where we pledge to oppose terrorism at every level possible. We should have open discussions and debates over the topic of “Terrorism” to spread awareness about the dangers of terrorism and violence.
In the end, I just want to say, “Terrorism will never cease to exist untill every one in the world acknowledges how awful it is”…
Is there a way to stop them? Yes there is. As the famous american linguist Noam Chomsky says
We need to teach our youth and children to not participate in these terrible activities and save them from becoming inhuman killers. How will we perpetuate this message, well the answer is education. As educational activist Malala Yousafzai says
